About Scene Cleaners
From the Owner, Tom Allen
In 2009, I was hired to be sales manager of a company that did hail storm restoration in Atlanta, GA. I learned the insurance restoration business one residential exterior at a time. I worked in roofing sales in 2010 and then passed the insurance adjuster’s test in 2011. I was invited to take the State Farm adjuster’s training in Hammond, LA. From there I was hired as an independent adjuster with a territory from Chicago to southern Illinois out to Columbia, MO.
I was a ‘daily’ adjuster that inspected losses including weather events, flooded basements, house fires, vandalism, and trauma cleanup. Then Superstorm Sandy struck the East Coast. I went to Allstate and was trained a flood adjuster then assigned to Staten Island inspecting flood losses. When I was released from my territory at the end of 2012, I went back to roaming the highways and byways of Illinois as a daily adjuster. At the end of 2013 I was hired by a restoration contractor as a large loss estimator. When they shut down my division in 2015 I went out on my own.
With our adjusting and claim handling experience we know how to work with the insurance carriers which makes life easier for our customers. Additionally, we’ve got decades of mitigation and abatement experience as well. However, when someone is looking for a company to address their immediate needs, such as a broken sewer line or a flooded basement, Scene Cleaner’s focus is on returning their home to pre-loss condition with a minimum of aggravation. Most other restorers in our market focus on their equipment or their experience. We focus on making life easier for our insureds who are in great need.
Our staff have OSHA training. Additionally, we’re certified with the IICRC in mold abatement, fire and smoke mitigation, and water damage mitigation.
Our Mission at Scene Cleaners: To improve the living and working environment of our customers through the best service we can offer.
